Male doctor

Brian M. Brown, M.D.

Dr. Brown was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Downey. He graduated with double honors from Stanford University, followed by his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Brown completed his post graduate studies in Ophthalmology at Doheny Eye Institute (USC), Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, Stanford University and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Brown is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Life Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Additionally he is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, California Association of Ophthalmology and the Los Angeles Eye Society. Dr. Brown served as President of the Medical Staff and Chief of Ophthalmology at Downey Regional Medical Center. Additionally he teaches Ophthalmology and Family Practice Residents as Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmolgoy at the Doheny Eye Institute, Western State University and DRMC. He is President and Medical Director of Physician’s Surgery Center of Downey.

Michelle Yoshimoto, O.D.

Dr. Michelle Yoshimoto, OD, FAAO, a Southern California native, is a proud alumna of the University of Southern California and University of California, Berkeley where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry. She graduated with honors from Beta Sigma Kappa and awards including the Pamela Fong and Family Scholarship, Berkeley Optometry Class of 2015 Scholarship, and William J. Burlington Memorial Scholarship.

Her external clinical training was completed around the country at the Walter Reed National Military Center, Crow Indian Health Service, Department of Veterans Affairs White City, and the UCSF PROCTOR Foundation. Dr. Yoshimoto completed a residency in Cornea and Contact Lens at Midwestern University and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO).

Her clinical interests include fitting specialty contact lenses, myopia management, and anterior segment pathology. She aspires to deliver excellent eye care with compassion and promote evidence-based vision practices.
