A native of Tucson, Arizona, Dr. Duran attended The University of Arizona, where she graduated with a B.S in Business Economics. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. Following her graduation, Dr. Duran completed a residency at Southern Arizona’s Veteran’s Affair Healthcare System specializing in primary care, low vision and ocular disease.
Dr. Jessica M. Duran is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. She is certified in diagnostic and therapeutic pharmacological agents, which aid in the detection, treatment, and management of eye diseases.
At Brian M. Brown, MD., Inc., Dr. Duran performs complete eye exams, contact lens exams, and fittings, LOW VISION assessments. She assists Dr. Brian Brown in the selection of the most advanced technologies available to restore independence to those suffering from visual impairment with Custom LASIK, PRK, and Precision Cataract Surgery.
Dr. Duran has volunteered her time with multiple organizations to improve the vision of children and adults worldwide; traveling to Kenya and Tanzania, as well as locations across the United States. Dr. Jessica Duran resides in Orange County with her husband, Jerome Hurd. She enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, reading books, and discovering new restaurants.
She is available for your contact lens, low vision, glaucoma, dry eye, and visual disturbance needs Monday-Friday.
